THE ARTIST

”I see paintings in everything around me. Sometimes in the shape of a tree, an apple or a face, and sometimes in the light of a sunset or the mist after a rainy day.”
I am Cecilia K.
I see paintings in everything around me. Sometimes in the shape of a tree, an apple or a face, and sometimes in the light of a sunset or the mist after a rainy day.
Creativity has always been important to me, and I have always done a lot of sewing and sketching. Decorating my home, wherever colors is the most important has always interested me.
My mother was also an artist, mostly in acrylic or oil. For me, it was the meeting with water and watercolors that changed everything.
A few years ago I had the opportunity to participate at an art class of watercolor during a weekend – and I was immediately inspired. The colors and the life of water and paint gave me a new way of seeing the world. Where I used to see trees, houses, people or lakes, were now shapes, shadows and so many more colors than I knew existed.
I have continued to take classes, and I often paint with a Swedish artist in her studio. I learn new things every time I lift my watercolor brush – and I hope that feeling will stay with me.
Painting is my passion, but I also have a full time job. The only thing I wish I had, is more time to paint!
